Top 10: The best soundbars 2022 in the test
Soundbars are the ideal solution for all users who want to get the best possible sound in their home cinema as easily as possible and without a lot of cable work. Although the audio quality of the sound bars doesn’t quite come close to real multi-channel systems, soundbars are definitely an upgrade to the integrated TV speakers.
External subwoofers are usually supplied with the soundbars, which further support and enhance the output of the bass. However, some models do without it themselves and also leave the bass directly out of the audio bar. In addition, with current 3D soundbars with support for Dolby Atmos and DTS:X, there is the option of connecting additional rear speakers – here, too, you usually save on any cable clutter and connect them wirelessly to the existing system.
Top 10 best soundbars 2022: The test field
With sales prices between a few hundred and up to 2,500 euros, the test field is broad – the differences in sound quality are, to the advantage of the buyer, rather marginal and relate more to individual functional differences. In addition, many different manufacturers were able to excel in our test laboratory: from Samsung to LG to Sennheiser and Teufel, there is a wide range of different brands.
For our online leaderboard, we have combined two leaderboards from video magazine with different test methods, since conventional soundbars are tested differently compared to the 3D soundbars with Dolby Atmos and DTS:X mentioned above. Corresponding differences are noted in the respective test models. Who is the test winner in the current soundbar leaderboard for 2022? You can find the answer in the overview below.
