Twitter has cracked down again: after the closure of Trump’s personal account, it is Renaud Camus’s turn to bear the brunt of the American giant’s purification policy – for having said of white people who fled the suburbs of immigration (much to the indignation of well-meaning people): “S… white people, and they don’t even let their throats be cut on the spot! “Zou, neither one nor two, his Twitter account has been deleted. With a click. The guillotine was squeaky; Twitter is click. The result is the same, symbolically speaking. Today, the Gafams cut your whistle as if by magic. Anyone who thought he could twitter freely is condemned to silence. “We need gold, a lot of gold today, to enjoy the right to speak; we are not rich enough. Silence to the poor”, launched Lamennais as a warning. Silence to the dissidents, silence to the truthful, silence to the great writer!
